Whether you are experiencing a nagging throb of pain in your back region or an acute pain, there are several reasons that could cause the pain in your back. Knowing the reason for your back pain can easily help your doctor arrive at a speedy solution for it.
One of the most common causes of back pain is stress. Raging emotions that are negative such as stress, anger or fatigue can be manifested in the form of a back ache. Sometimes, back pain that is transient in nature may be a symptom of influenza.
A muscle strain causes an imbalance in the muscles which in turn lead to a build up of pressure at specific points of the spine and this causes a great deal of pain.
Some people may experience back pain because of diseases such as osteoporosis, spinal disc herniation and degenerative disc disease.
Another cause of back pain, especially back pain in the lower region, is meniscoid occlusion. This refers to the pinching or trapping of the synovial membrane leading to an inflammation of the membrane. The synovial membrane basically serves as a cushion between the mobile regions of the spinal cord and allows them to move with ease.
Cancers, infections, and inflammatory diseases can also lead to a back pain condition. Back pain causes also vary in accordance with the age of the patient. Older people are more prone to suffer back pain problems than younger people.
